Education for the future.

If you are hiking and you hear a loud crack, don't spend so much time looking up and around- start running. A tree is falling.

Not all cats are nice. Some don't like to be pet.

Don't make fun of people who have asthma.

When waiting for a phone interview, don't answer the phone with "Hello?" you should say, "Hi, this is..."

If you are driving really early in the morning, look out for farmers on the road. They may be pulling out in their tractors.

Standing up at the football games is overrated. Sitting under the jumbotron on the grass is much cooler.

Always smile at people, it's a nice gesture :)

Buy organic milk, it's a lot better for you. And organic chicken.

Take time to figure out your strengths and weaknesses. Make use of the career center.

If someone waves at you and you don't recognize them, don't start walking towards them waving haha.

Washing your tennis shoes with a toothbrush really makes them shiny again.

This is called "I believe"

My friend Libby sent this to me and I really liked the message:

I Believe...

That just because two people argue,
It doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
It doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
We understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is,
They're going to hurt you every once in a while
And you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
Even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
That will give you heartache for life.

I Believe....
That it's taking me a long time
To become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
Loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe....
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what
We do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...

That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs
To be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe....
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe....
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down
Will be the ones to help you get back up .

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many
Birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe....
That it isn't always enough,
To be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken
The world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe....
That our background and circumstances
May have influenced who we are,
But, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...

That you shouldn't be so eager to find
Out a secret. It could change your life Forever.

I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
Thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
Hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...

That even when you think you have no more to give,
When a friend cries out to you -
You will find the strength to help.

I Believe...

That the people you care about most in life
Are taken from you too soon.

Making Mistakes

“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.” -Elbert Hubbard

1. Let yourself make as many mistakes as necessary to create an exciting life.

If you commit more mistakes than anyone else, you will accumulate a mountain of experience. And from that springs a knowledge that allows you do incredible things.

2. Stretch yourself at least once a day.

Call that person you are afraid to call. Speak to someone you just met. Become a yes (wo)man. Whenever there’s an opportunity to do something you have never done before, say yes. Every experience will expand your consciousness.

3. Don’t call them mistakes.

Promise yourself: I will stretch myself every single day. Today will be better than yesterday, because I have learned a new lesson.

Life's Little Instructions

I saw these sayings on a poster in my cousin's dorm room and couldn't live without these cute ideas on how to live a happy and more full life :)

Never refuse homemade brownies.

Plant a tree on your birthday.

Learn three clean jokes.

Return borrowed vehicles with the gas tank full.

Keep it simple.

Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them.

Leave everything a little better than you found it.

Think big thoughts but relish in small pleasures.

Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.

Floss your teeth.

Be forgiving of yourself and others.

Remember other people's birthdays.

Commit yourself to constant improvement.

Carry jumper cables in your trunk.

Have a firm handshake.

Stop blaming others and take responsibility for every area of your life.

Look people in the eye.

Be the first to say "Hello"

Plant flowers every spring.

Always accept an outstretched hand.

Feed a stranger's expired parking meter.

Don't expect life to be fair.

Drink champagne for no reason at all.

Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation.

Don't be afraid to say "I made a mistake".

Always keep your promises.

Marry only for love.
