Thanks, June.

1. All New Balance shoes are made in America and they will even let you get two different sizes without having to buy the pairs!

2. Did you know the fuel indicator in your car has an arrow pointing in the direction of the side of your car where your gas pump is located?

3. Note to self: You cannot plug in a TV and expect to see the basic channels. It just doesn't work that way anymore.

4. Sync your iPhone pictures to your computer often- You never know when your phone might get stolen.

Week in Review.

1. Why is the abbreviation for Missouri, MO? It just doesn't make sense.

2. Don't put your earrings on while you are drinking coffee, it's really hard to find an earring in a cup full of coffee.

3. If you only have five hours to sleep, don't take a Tylenol PM. You will still be really tired when you wake up!

4. Before you lock the car door, make sure you have the keys in your hand.

5. When writing an email, type the recipient(s) name last- just in case you accidentally hit the send button before you are finished drafting the email :)

6. Note to self: Do not remove the sticky part from the FedEx label until you are ready to seal it. It will stick to EVERYTHING it touches.

Climb more mountains, swim more rivers and ride more merry go-rounds. Oh, and remember this too!

1.) The clicking noise on an old stove is not the low setting.

2.) If you ship something via FedEx, make sure to write down the tracking number. The FedEx people cannot look up your package with your username or account.

3.) Before you send an email make sure you read it carefully. Try not to mess up three times on someone...

4.) Do not attempt an escalator on crutches. Not a good idea.

5.) Hamburger Helper is a good way to learn how to cook.

6.) Every girl needs a red purse.

Be patient, even an egg will eventually walk.

Ten things I’ve learned through two surgeries in six months.

1. You can never say thank you enough to the people who help you.

2. Make the crutches do the work. Push off with your hands.

3. Don’t discount the helpfulness of a shower chair.

4. If you feel like you are going to pass out, don’t stand up…

5. Lean too far back in a wheelchair and you will fall over.

6. Make sure you have an answer to the question, “Who did you kick?”

7. Invest in skirts: Not a good idea to wear slacks with a walking boot, it really wrinkles your pant leg!

8. Never let someone tell you that pain is subjective. You know yourself better than anyone else.

9. You can find something good in everything bad, if you are willing to look beyond what the eye can see.

10. Surgery ties your shoes, but physical therapy gets you to the finish line.

Bottom line: We are all stronger than we think we are. Look inward to go forward. Never stop trying and look upon life as an adventure. Everything happens for a reason. Life will throw curve balls, but if you enjoy the journey, you will enjoy your life :)

I'll make sure to remember that.

1. Always bring a pen with you when you are called into someone's office.

2. Don't get stuck behind an 18-wheeler carrying rocks. One will surely fly into your windshield.

3. Be careful when you give money to people on the street. Make sure you have a vehicle to get away.

4. Always thank the receptionist.

5. Note to self: Podiatrist's are not MD's.

6. If your lips are really chapped, try Burt's Bees Honey and Vitamin E lip balm. You can get it at HEB! Really good stuff.

7. Type out your goals for 2012 and frame them in your room so you can see them.

8. Try not to stare straight on at a cow in the eyes. They don't like that.

9. You can buy little goldfish at Petsmart and put them in a outdoor stock tank and they will eat the algae and grow to be huge (and multiply) and they keep the water really clean!

10. Life is short. Live your dream. Share your passion. Enjoy the journey.

injured reserve for a reason.

So I have been thinking a lot lately about why certain things happen and I've come to realize that people and events come into our lives to teach us a lesson, a purpose. To everything there is a reason and it's up to us to find out what that is.

I'm pretty sure I've just about broke/torn enough body parts in my life to consider living inside a bubble- collarbone, thumb, wrist, 2 ACL surgeries, 2 finger joint surgeries, floating bone had to be removed from my other knee, stress fractures, etc you name it and I've probably done it. I've had mono, I've had the swine flu..come on, seriously? And now I'm about to have surgery on my ankle/foot to repair two tendons/broken bone I tore playing soccer.

Being injured is frustrating because you can't do the things you love to do but being out of sports also makes you realize the importance of the little things. Sometimes we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, rushing through trying to get as many tasks done as we can but it's important to take time to reflect on the gifts you have TODAY. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

So back on the injured list I go. I may not know why I got hurt again, but I do know that this is just a fork in the road and I will make it through because I know God has a plan and his plan is perfect. In the next couple months of recovery, I know there will be hard days ahead but I also know that God wouldn't take me down this road unless he had a purpose.

My challenge to you is that whatever you are facing in life today- know that everything happens for a reason. You may not know why you are where you are or why certain things are going on but know that God would never give you something you couldn't handle. You just have to be willing to listen and hear his voice.

So true.

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

Was learning cursive really necessary?

MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

Bad decisions make good stories.

I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of MS Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my 10 pg technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

Sometimes I'll look down at my watch three consecutive times still not know what time it is.

I'll remember that next time.

Always leave yourself a spare key hidden somewhere in your yard so you don't have to break your window to get back inside.

Don't grab a milk bottle by the top- you might pull it off and spill the milk all over the floor.

You do not have to answer every single question someone asks you about yourself.

Hold onto your diploma after graduation so you don't have to go back looking for it under all the chairs.

Do not pour out your daily contact solution until you know for a fact that your contacts are in your eyes.

Never leave your keys, wallet, or phone unattended...there are bad people out there who will steal these things.

Bring joy wherever you go and joy will find you :)
